Arisu is a gripping short story from up-and-coming author, Emily Johnson, about a young teenager stuck in the hospital. Young Arisu lives in a cloud of confusion in a ward where there is much more going on than meets the eye. As she starts to become more aware, the whole reason for anyone’s presence in the hospital remains unanswered to her. Arisu decides to play along with the system she believes is broken in order to survive. She begins to make friends with other people her age, but it becomes clear that she must watch their backs too. Will she be able to save the others from the strange happenings in the hospital? Will she be able to save herself?
